In Spring 2 we have two main texts of focus for our writing. Our first piece of writing is all about Ancient Greece. We are going to imagine we have teleported back in time to see how the Olympic games were played back when they were first created!

Our second piece of writing will be focusing on International Women's day and the importance around women's rights. We will look at how this came to be and how this has impacted the future to modern day for all women.

This term our class text in reading is Journey to Joburg. Journey to Jo’burg is about two children, Naledi and Tiro, who travel alone to Johannesburg to find their mother and help their sick sister. The story shows the challenges of life under apartheid and highlights family, courage, and hope.

Our Topic this term is called Mountain High, River Low. We will be looking at different mountains across the world and the different landscapes on our planet.
