Our Governors

It’s been a real privilege to work alongside the leadership team at KGV this year.  They are a truly supportive team and put the children at the heart of every decision they make.

So much thought has been given to the school curriculum to ensure that children have a multitude of opportunities to develop knowledge and become imaginative thinkers and problem solvers. I saw this in action during a school visit where the children were bursting with excitement to share their lessons and explain what skills they had learnt specifically.  From experimenting with shading effects in Year 2 to school-wide chilli challenges, there was lots to talk about!

Wonderful enrichment opportunities provide the children with a chance to engage with the wider community and work alongside children from other year groups.  This was a real highlight for the children when they shared their favourite things about school, alongside the relationships with their teachers.

Children show excellent behaviour for learning within their classes – they are keen to share their thoughts and celebrate the success of others.  All staff believe strongly in the importance of developing strong, positive relationships with children and look to praise behaviour which is ‘over and above’ what is expected.    KGV is a happy place to be and it’s a pleasure to be a governor!
